Fighting Fear

So, it's been a while since I have blogged about anything. This blog was created to inspire entertainment professionals to honor God with their work and lifestyles, and to inspire people with dreams to pursue them for His glory. When you dream really big like myself, you know that they are not just dreams, but what God has called you to do on this earth. And to get to the place where those dreams manifest, it's a process.

A lot of the time the process has to do with sacrifice: sleep, time, TV, relationships, etc. Procrastination is probably the biggest thing that gets in the way of people's dreams. The bible even speaks of not being lazy and sluggard-like. However, 2 Timothy 1:7 in the Amplified says "For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control." So, if He has given us the spirit of discipline and not fear, when we procrastinate are we really being lazy or are we scared of something? I reckon the latter.

So I challenge you to fight with me. A little over a month ago, I turned 27 years old. God and myself has declared this year to be the year of liberation for me. I started off my day with skydiving, and then I cut all my hair off and dyed it, 2 things that scared me. Now I'm fighting the fear of failure as it relates to my dreams. If you are from any inner city in America you probably relate to this and don't even know it. You have been brain washed from the day you were born that everybody knows you are going to fail. So, why try anything new and prove them wrong.

Their is a world out there that is hungry for what God has instilled in YOU! If you fear, there has been a war launched at you (And if you dream really big: [not that this doesn't apply to everybody, but] Eph. 6:12 in the amplified says that you are not fighting against regular demons, but master spirits and world ruler demons), and the devil cannot remain the only one that fights. We have to learn how to be offensive Christians and not just defensive (shielding when we are down). Engage in the battle! The devil has already been defeated anyways. Worship, ask God for comfort, and keep pressing in.....this feels like it's more for me the anybody else but I do pray that you all fight with me, whatever your fear is.

God Bless,

Victoria Boulding

KINGS!!!! Random thoughts, not in order

I've been absent for a while, its been a roller coaster to say the least.... these are some things that I have learned and are still learning since I got laid off 6 mths ago
  • You were created to take dominion and snatch the wealth from the wicked who store it up.  You don't have to ask them for it, take it! it's yours. Everything the devil stole from you, he has to return it 7 fold.
  • What separates your dreams from dreams is perseverance
  • Favor over wealth
  • If you want different results, do somethin' different
  • Decide to do one thing a day that intimidates you (the only failure, is failure to try)
  • Stop beggin' God in your prayers, think about what your saying, your words have power (God spoke, and there was light)!!
  • You have been given favor with men.

"Hear me, O LORD, that this people may know that you are God...Then the fire of the LORD fell..."  ~I Kings 18:37-38

As a person with a mission from God, how do you keep composure when there is no one there to support you?
Some consider Elijah the greatest prophet of the Old Testament.  At the height of Elijah's courage, he called fire from Heaven and then successfully defeated 450 false prophets by himself. How did he do it? As Elijah prayed alone, I believe the fire inside of Elijah drew down the fire from Heaven.  Elijah then met his enemies with enormous amounts of strength. But then something happened to cause Elijah's fire to go out and run from God's purpose.  Elijah's life began to unravel. How could this have happened?
After the demonstration of God's fire, in I Kings 19, an evil woman named Jezebel threatened Elijah's life. Afraid, Elijah then hid himself in a dark cave.  Let's examine what Elijah went through in that cave that caused his fire to die.  Guard your life against these evil spirits:

  • Hiding: He got lost in the cave. He wasn't supposed to be there in the first place.

  • Empty: He had no fresh word from God, therefore lacking direction.

  • Exhausted: He didn't take care of himself and became vulnerable to sickness.

  • Depressed: He prayed that he might die, losing his boldness.

  • Paranoid: He imagined everyone was out to kill him, living in oppressive fear.

  • Isolated: He cut himself off from friends and from those that could help.

  • Self-pity: He complained to God of the lack of reward.
Emotions are wonderful servants, but make poor leaders.  If you are experiencing any of these issues, then you are totally out of God's plan for your life.  So when will the fire return to your business, ministry or leadership?  The fire comes...

  1. When we focus on other people's needs even when our own need is great

  2. When we publicly face our fears knowing that God has our back

  3. When we take our message to the people

  4. When we face impossible situations that only God's fire can burn away
Stay passionate for God's purpose for your life. People and resources will always be attracted to the fire within you.

The walls "feel" like they have been closing in on me from every angle financially and relationships, I have had no support....everyone wants me to quit pursuing what I feel called to do....been eatin' dry cereal, and been couch-hoppin' but I press on. Kings, we have to fight for our dreams, protect them, and persevere to see them manifest.

Peace,

V

Let Go, Let Him flow!!!

Soooo, I'm broke! Technically speaking. Think with me for a second.....Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the 29th Sultan of Brunei is heir to an unbroken 600-year-old Muslim dynasty. At its height, Brunei's sultans controlled an empire that stretched to the southern Philippines.

Known for a lavish lifestyle, his palace is said to have 1,788 rooms; has also built mosques with touches in gold and diamonds. WORTH $22 BILLION, AGE 59!

Now let's take a look at his son, Prince Al-Muhtadee Billah. The date 10 August 1998, marked the Royal Proclamation of His Royal Highness as the Crown Prince of Brunei. The proclamation puts him in line to become the 30th Sultan of Brunei.

On 9 September 2004, he married 17-year old Pengiran Anak Sarah at Nurul Iman Palace in Bandar Seri Begawan in an elaborate affair. Some considered the ceremony to be extravagant, as its cost was estimated at $ 5 million US dollars.

So, if you are called to business then you are called to rule over something (entertainment) as a King, man or woman. But at the end of the day we serve the King of kings. And the Bible says that we are Heirs to the promise God gave Abraham, even before Jesus was here He made that promise.

This guy King Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah wouldn't dare let his son go broke, it's actually against the written law. He's in line to receive all that the King has when the King dies, go figure!

We are sons and daughters of the King, princes and princesses! The Bible says in Matthew 18:18-20 "I tell you the truth, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." In other words, there IS peace in heaven, which means He has given us (princes and princesses) peace on Earth.

There is no peace in worrying about what you will eat or how you will pay a bill! AND YOU DON'T HAVE TO WORRY, JUST TRUST HIM, TRUST HIM WITH ME!

THIS IS NEW TO ME TOO, LOL (TRUSTING GOD, A NEW CONCEPT!). BUT I CHARGE YOU TO JUMP OUT THE BOAT WITH ME, AND SHARE THE TESTIMONY RIGHT HERE!, JUST LEAVE A COMMENT

The reason I'm writing this is because since college I have had NO peace! Always worrying about my finances, EVEN WHEN GOD PUTS IT ON MY HEART TO DO SOMETHING. But I guess I'm just sick of it, so it's time:

I make about $1200/month and my bills add up to about $1700/month (just the necessities).
Some of the bills are for what I know God is calling me to do in the entertainment industry. So there is no way of getting around this, but to trust Him. I also have a $4,000 ER bill because of no insurance, and a $4,000 grad school bill that they are threatening to send to collections, and a $200 bill to register my car which has already expired. So I can't wait to share the testimony with ya'll. Just paid my tithes, rent, and 'bout to pay my acting class, student loan, car payment, and car registration within the next 2 days, LOL!

"For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD gives grace and glory; No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly" (Psalm 84:11).

"How great is Thy goodness, which Thou hast stored up for those who fear Thee, which Thou hast wrought for those who take refuge in Thee, before the sons of men!" (Psalms 31:19).

Numbers 23:19 "God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?"

So, for who's pursuing dreams in the entertainment industry, especially on a indie level (which is very expensive, nobody can get loans right now) just trust Him, in His timing is will happen, and if you know the time is now, again, join me in jumpin' out the boat.

peace,

V

Just a thought after church today.... maybe nothin' too deep....

This is on my heart, and it pertains to what we are all called to do as Kings. As a King, the dream has to to become so real that when you talk about it people believe with you that it's gonna come to pass. If you can see it, you can have it! But, as believers, how do you not allow those goals and dreams to over take you? Are we seeking after Him, or dreams? He gave us the dreams, so yeah faith makes preparation and all that good stuff, but can you end up chasing after it sooo hard that you loose sight of why He gave it to you to begin with?

I think it's important to hold on to them, their are dream stealers out there! But what I'm reminded of right now is not movin' faster than He is, that's when it becomes about the flesh instead of His glory. "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well"-Matt 6:33

Peace and Love,
